Akash M. Aghera, DMD, is the founder and owner of BridgeHampton Dental and takes pride in the value and culture we have developed here. Dr. Aghera strongly believes that serving people with empathy and compassion creates a big difference in how people view dentistry in general. With his kind nature and gentle hands, Dr. Aghera will make you comfortable in the most stressful of situations.
Dr. Aghera graduated cum laude (with honors) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2010. He previously obtained his bachelor’s degree in dental surgery with distinction at the Government Dental College and Hospital in Jamnagar, India. While in dental school, Dr. Aghera was on the Dean’s Roll of Honor for Academic Achievement and was awarded a scholarship. He was accepted into the prestigious national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, for overall academic excellence.
Since graduating, Dr. Aghera has continued to gain valuable knowledge and training that enhance his skills in dentistry. He has taken numerous continuing education courses, including courses in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, root canal treatments, Invisalign™ and orthodontics, and more. The International Congress of Oral Implantologists recognizes him as a Fellow (FICOI) with his numerous hours in continuing education and rigorous training.
When not doing dentistry, Dr. Aghera enjoys spending time with his family – his wife Punam, daughter Mahi, and son Anuj. He will watch any sport you can name and is a huge fan of the Indian Cricket Team. Traveling and seeing new places is his favorite pastime.
